My Favorite Thing About Being At Uncle Is

I became a barber because I’ve always loved working with people and doing something hands-on and creative. I wanted a career where I could connect with others every day while helping them feel confident and taken care of. Being behind the chair lets me do exactly that, and it’s something I’m really grateful for.

In My Spare Time

I’ve been behind the chair for 10 years now, and my hairversary is Cinco de Mayo. Over the years, I’ve built my career around connecting with people, creating confidence, and doing what I truly love every day. When I’m not doing hair, you can usually find me at home with my two goofy German Shorthair Pointers, Emma and Dixie, who keep life fun and full of personality. I’m also a big animal lover and somehow became a full-on fish mom. It all started with a white elephant gift of a Betta fish I named Ricky Bobby because “if you ain’t first your last” and he was my first fish ever, and now I have quite the crew—at home I have my goldfish Pudge, Tubs, Juicy, and Boba. I even have a tank at my station with Bobby Boucher and his friends Chunk, Tini,and Tiny. Outside of my animals, I love slowing down with hobbies like crocheting blankets, crafting, baking, and reading on my Kindle. Most of the time, it’s with my dogs on either side of me as my arm rests.

My Favorite Thing About Being At Uncle Is

My favorite part about being a barber is the relationships built with clients. Being able to hear their stories, and celebrate their joy with them. I became a barber because cutting hair was my passion. I always felt the most natural with a pair of shears in my hand. I love bald fades, mullets, and hair designs! I’ve also found joy in sharing knowledge with others as well. I enjoy the process of teaching clients how to style their specific hair and what to use in a way that makes sense.

In My Spare Time

In my spare time you can find me reading a book, finding interesting hikes to take my spunky beagle Mia on, or finding a new recipe to cook. I also have a love of traveling, and I’ve made a hobby out of finding ways to take amazing trips on a budget!

In my spare time I'm likely at the gym standing on my hands or I'm making something, organizing something, or practicing one of the many things I wish I was better at! A good day is spent shopping for treasures at second-hand stores. The best days are spent with my family including my ridiculously cute grandchildren!

I am a barber because I love to travel! You can do hair anywhere in the world and I love being able to help people feel good about themselves. A good haircut can turn a bad week or day around. Meeting people in all job types, from all over the world, keeps my day-to-day full of new experiences and ideas for the future. Hair is art and I love creating a different masterpiece everyday!
